List of Recognised Architectural Programmes
Notice on the Discontinuation of the Recognition of Overseas Programme in Architecture!
The Board, at its meeting of 11th November 2014, has decided to revamp the existing policy of automatically recognizing programmes of architecture from the Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom.
In the future, the Board’s policy of recognizing overseas programmes in architecture should be based upon:
a. Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between Malaysia and the foreign countries or between the Board and its foreign counterpart; or
b. In instances where a formal MRA is not yet in place, the Board is desirous of conducting validation exercises with interested institutions/universities.
The Board has informed the providers of the programme appeared in the previous List about the above decision. From 1st January 2017 onward the automatic recognition of these programmes will be discontinued. Henceforth, the List of Recognised Programme as been traditionally published in this website shall be removed.
Students who enrolled in any programme stated in the previous List within its effective recognition period will not be affected by the new rulings.
As of now, the Board is gradually introducing the new List of Recognised Architectural Programmes accordingly.
